Hammer is a Melee Clubbing weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop, where it is the cheapest item available.

The Hammer was one of the items available at the launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta.

The Hammer has a stealth rating of 7.6.

The Hammer is most commonly obtained as a purchase from Big Al's. It can also be found through city finds.

Hammers can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Melee weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.

A high quality Hammer with a Weapon Effect can be obtained by opening a Melee Cache.

The Duke Contract "Hammer Time" requires a target to be defeated using a Hammer or Duke's Hammer.

Historical Notes

A Hammer used to be a requirement to commit the Cars larceny crime. [1]
