MP5 Navy
Not to be confused with Dual MP5s or MP5k
MP5 Navy is a Primary SMG weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop, and is the cheapest SMG that can be purchased from shops.
The MP5 Navy was one of the items available at the launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
The MP5 Navy has a base fire rate between five to eight rounds per turn and can fire 30 rounds (over four to six turns) without reloading. It has a stealth rating of 3.1.
Usage
Some players equip an MP5 Navy or another SMG weapon with the Revitalize bonus in their primary slot to save energy when doing a large number of attacks. Due to the weapon's lower stats, MP5 Navys with less desirable bonuses are commonly traded in at Big Al's Bunker for Bunker Bucks.
Obtaining
The MP5 Navy is most commonly obtained as a purchase from Big Al's. It can also be found through city finds and is given as a mystery gift from the Wheel of Lame. The MP5 Navy can be obtained through two job specials; the Army job special to steal a weapon for 10 Army Points [2] and the "Open Arsenal" 5* special at a Private Security Firm for 75 job points. [3]
The MP5 Navy can be obtained as a result of the "Big Al's Gun Shop" Shoplifting subcrime.
1,000 MP5 Navys will be restocked at Big Al's after being sold out. The amount of time before a restock occurs is half the time it took the item to sell out, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
MP5 Navys can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Primary weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.
A high quality MP5 Navy with a Weapon Bonus can be obtained by opening a Small Arms Cache. A MP5 Navy obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 60 and an Accuracy stat up to 66.
Buffs
The MP5 Navy can use all Weapon Mods that are compatible with SMGs. It can also use all four types of 9mm special ammo.
Players can gain Weapon Experience on MP5 Navys once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. Sawed-Off Shotguns and all primary and secondary weapons gain a 20% damage boost from the "Firearms Expert" 10* special and an extra clip from the "Bandolier" 7* special at Gun Shops.
MP5 Navys, along with all primary and secondary weapons, receive a 20% and 5% bonus to Ammo conservation from the "MTH3330 Bachelor of Mathematics" and "MTH2310 Discrete Mathematics" courses respectively. The "CBT2830 Study of Submachine Guns" course gives +1 accuracy to all SMGs.
The MP5 Navy is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.

Historical Notes
The MP5 Navy was originally hyphenated with lowercase letters as "mp5-navy."
All MP5 Navys used to have the same damage and accuracy stats. Unique stats for each MP5 Navy were revealed in a December 2015 update. [4]
In the old Ammo system prior to the Attacking 2.0 update, ammo for the MP5 Navy costed $300 per clip. The icon for the ammo ( 
) was a large pistol cartridge. [5]
