USP
USP is a Secondary Pistol weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop.
The USP was one of the items available at the launch of Torn in 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
Without any Ammo management buffs, the USP can be used three to four times before needing to reload. The USP is currently the most accurate pistol in the game.
Usage
Due to its high accuracy, a USP with a debuff bonus could be a good way to reliably hit an opponent and apply a debuff such as Weaken or Slow.
Some players equip a USP or another pistol weapon with the Execute bonus in their secondary slot to quickly take down opponents with low health. Even though the weapon's stats are high compared to other pistols, USPs with less desirable bonuses are commonly traded in at Big Al's Bunker for Bunker Bucks.
Obtaining
The USP is most commonly obtained as a purchase from Big Al's. It can also be found through city finds and is given as a mystery gift from the Wheel of Lame.
The USP can be obtained through two job specials: the Army job special to steal a weapon for 10 Army Points [2] and the "Open Arsenal" 5* special at a Private Security Firm for 75 job points. [3]
The USP can be found as a result of the following crimes:
- "Big Al's Gun Shop" (quantity 1)
- Industrial:
- "Slaughterhouse" (quantity 1)
1,000 USPs will be restocked at Big Al's after being sold out. The amount of time before a restock occurs is half the time it took the item to sell out, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
USPs can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Secondary weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.
A high quality USP with a Weapon Effect can be obtained by opening a Small Arms Cache. A USP obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 59 and an Accuracy stat up to 73.
Buffs
The USP can use all Weapon Mods that are compatible with Pistols. It can also use all four types of 9mm special ammo.
Players can gain Weapon Experience on USPs once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. USPs and all primary and secondary weapons gain a 20% damage boost from the "Firearms Expert" 10* special and an extra clip from the "Bandolier" 7* special at Gun Shops.
USPs, along with all primary and secondary weapons, receive a 20% and 5% bonus to Ammo conservation from the "MTH3330 Bachelor of Mathematics" and "MTH2310 Discrete Mathematics" courses respectively. The "CBT2840 Study of Pistols" course gives +1 accuracy to all pistols.
The USP is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.
