Benelli M1 Tactical is a Primary Shotgun weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop.

The Benelli M1 Tactical was one of the items available at the launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]

The Benelli M1 Tactical has a base fire rate between two to three rounds per turn and can fire seven rounds (over three to four turns) without reloading. It has a stealth rating of 2.8, tying it with the Benelli M4 Super for the stealthiest Shotgun in the game. It is also tied with the Macana and Bread Knife for the highest base accuracy in the game.

Obtaining

The Benelli M1 Tactical is most commonly obtained as a purchase from Big Al's. It can also be found through city finds and is given as a mystery gift from the Wheel of Lame. The Benelli M1 Tactical can be obtained through two job specials; the Army job special to steal a weapon for 10 Army Points [2] and the "Open Arsenal" 5* special at a Private Security Firm for 75 job points. [3]

1,000 Benelli M1 Tacticals will be restocked at Big Al's after being sold out. The amount of time before a restock occurs is half the time it took the item to sell out, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.

Benelli M1 Tacticals can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Primary weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.

A high quality Benelli M1 Tactical with a Weapon Bonus can be obtained by opening a Medium Arms Cache. A Benelli M1 Tactical obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 54 and an Accuracy stat up to 80.

Usage

With the highest base accuracy in the game, a Benelli M1 Tactical with a trigger mod equipped has the best chance of any weapon for hitting an opponent with Eviscerate. Some players also use a Benelli M1 Tactical with the Bleed or Blindside bonuses in the opening turns of a long fight to increase damage against an opponent.

Having the highest possible base accuracy in the game, the Benelli M1 Tactual is sometimes used to maximize the chances of hitting a target that has low Life and only needs to be hit once to defeat.

Buffs

Players can gain Weapon Experience on Benelli M1 Tacticals once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. Benelli M1 Tacticals and all primary and secondary weapons gain a 20% damage boost from the "Firearms Expert" 10* special and an extra clip from the "Bandolier" 7* special at Gun Shops.

Benelli M1 Tacticals, along with all primary and secondary weapons, receive a 20% and 5% bonus to Ammo conservation from the "MTH3330 Bachelor of Mathematics" and "MTH2310 Discrete Mathematics" courses respectively. The "CBT2125 Study of Shotguns" course gives +1 accuracy to all shotguns.

The Benelli M1 Tactical is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.

Historical Notes

The Benelli M1 Tactical was originally called the "Benelli M1 Tactical 12 Gauge." It was shortened to its current name in spring of 2010. [4]

All Benelli M1 Tacticals used to have the same damage and accuracy stats. Unique stats for each Benelli M1 Tactical were revealed in a December 2015 update. [5]

In the old Ammo system prior to the Attacking 2.0 update, ammo for the Benelli M1 Tactical costed $105 per clip. The icon for the ammo ( phkbHeY.png ) was a shotgun shell. [6]
