Glock 17

Glock 17 is a Secondary Pistol weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop, where it is the cheapest Pistol and Secondary weapon available.
The Glock 17 was one of the items available at the launch of Torn in 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
Without any Ammo management buffs, the Glock 17 can be used four to seven times before needing to reload.
Usage
Some players equip a Glock 17 or another Pistol weapon with the bonus bonus in their secondary slot to quickly take down opponents with low health. Due to the weapon's lower stats, Glock 17s with less desirable bonuses are commonly traded in at Big Al's Bunker for Bunker Bucks.
Obtaining
The Glock 17 is most commonly obtained through crimes. It can also be purchased from Big Al's, be found through city finds, and is a possible result from paying 75 job points to use the Private Security Firm 5* special, "Open Arsenal." [2]
The Glock 17 can be found as a result of the following crimes:
- "Big Al's Gun Shop" (quantity 1, cameras enabled and guards on duty only)
- "Police Officer" (quantity 1)
- Residential:
- "Beach Hut" (quantity 1)
- Industrial:
- "Fertilizer Plant" (quantity 1, requires Lockpicks)
1,000 Glock 17s will be restocked at Big Al's after being sold out. The amount of time before a restock occurs is half the time it took the item to sell out, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
Glock 17s can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Secondary weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.
A high quality Glock 17 with a Weapon Bonus can be obtained by opening a Small Arms Cache. A Glock 17 obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 43 and an Accuracy stat up to 68.
Buffs
The Glock 17 can use all Weapon Mods that are compatible with Pistols. It can also use all four types of 9mm special ammo.
Players can gain Weapon Experience on Glock 17s once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. Glock 17s and all primary and secondary weapons gain a 20% damage boost from the "Firearms Expert" 10* special and an extra clip from the "Bandolier" 7* special at Gun Shops.
Glock 17s, along with all primary and secondary weapons, receive a 20% and 5% bonus to Ammo conservation from the "MTH3330 Bachelor of Mathematics" and "MTH2310 Discrete Mathematics" courses respectively. The "CBT2840 Study of Pistols" course gives +1 accuracy to all pistols.
The Glock 17 is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.

Historical Notes
The Glock 17 was originally known as the "Glock 18" but the name was changed on 27 June 2017. Chedburn confirmed the Glock in Torn is based on the real life semi automatic Glock 17, while the Glock 18 is the select fire version. [3]
All Glock 17s used to have the same damage and accuracy stats. Unique stats for each Glock 17 were revealed in a December 2015 update. [4]
In the old Ammo system prior to the Attacking 2.0 update, ammo for the Glock 17 costed $20 per clip. The icon for the ammo ( ) was a small pistol cartridge. [5]
