Dagger

Dagger is a Melee Piercing weapon that can be purchased from and sold to Big Al's Gun Shop.
The Dagger was one of the items available at the launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
The Dagger has a stealth rating of 7.8.
Usage
With its high stealth rating, a Dagger could be utilized to maximize the chance of stealthing when mugging with Plunder.
Some players use a Dagger or another slashing or piercing weapon with the Eviscerate bonus in the opening turns of a long fight to cause more damage for the duration of the fight. Due to the weapon's lower stats, Daggers with less desirable bonuses are commonly traded in at Big Al's Bunker for Bunker Bucks.
Obtaining
The Dagger is most commonly obtained as a purchase from Big Al's. It can also be found through city finds.
The Dagger can be found as a result of the following crimes:
- "Big Al's Gun Shop, (quantity 1, cameras enabled and guards off duty only)
- Residential:
- "Secluded Cabin" (quantity 1)
- Industrial:
- "Slaughterhouse" (quantity 1, requires Flashlight)
1,000 Daggers will be restocked at Big Al's after being sold out. The amount of time before a restock occurs is half the time it took the item to sell out, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
Daggers can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Melee weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.
A high quality Dagger with a Weapon Bonus can be obtained by opening a Melee Cache. A Dagger obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 43 and an Accuracy stat up to 75.
Buffs
Players can gain Weapon Experience on Daggers once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. Daggers, along with all melee weapons, receive a 10% damage bonus from the "Drunken Master" 3* special at Pubs and Restaurants, and a 2% damage bonus from the completion of the "HIS2170 Medieval History" course.
The Dagger is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.
