Item Market

Accessed through the City, the Item Market is a place for buying and selling items.

Note: As of the 'Item Market 2.0' update, Bazaar listings are no longer displayed in the item market.

Categories

There are 24 different categories, which contain every marketable item currently available for sale by other players in Torn. These are:

There is also a 25th "Popular" category, containing the most frequently bought and sold items, to improve user experience when buying common supplies.

Filters

Items in Categories from the "Equipment" section, except Temporary, can be heavily filtered. You can apply filters in the following way:

• All weapons vs. specific weapon (e.g. show only "Axe")
• No bonus vs. bonus (any bonus, or specific bonuses, or filter by colour - yellow, orange, red)
• Price (Logarithmic bounds, e.g. select between $10 - $100, $1b and $10b, $1m and $100m, etc)
• Accuracy (Single unit bounds, e.g. select between 37 - 38, 56 - 93).
• Damage (Same as accuracy)

Listing and Fees

To sell your items in the item market, click 'Add Listings' in the top right corner of the item market page. Listing an item comes with certain fees:

• A regular sales tax of 5% is active since June 22nd 2025.
• An optional fee of 10% of the sale price is available to list your item(s) anonymously.

Note: The buyer will be denied from purchasing items from you on the item market(even if selling anonymously) and your bazaar if they are in your Enemies List. This feature can be disabled.

These fees are subtracted at the time of sale.

It is possible to waive the anonymous listing fee with certain Company Specials: the 5* Car Dealership and 5* Property Broker specials now reduce this fee from 10% to 0%.

There is no longer a limit of 250 items that you can list - you can list any number of items you like. An already listed item can be removed or changed by clicking "View your listings" in the top right corner of the item market page. To remove a listing, the quantity field should be reduced or removed (set to zero). To change the pricing, the pricing field can be changed.

Historical Notes

All sales on the Item Market was free until February 22nd 2025. After 22nd of February a 1% sale fee was applied. This fee will be increased by 1% each month until it reaches 5% on June 22nd 2025.

Before the Item Market update, players were required to pay 3% of the listed price upfront when listing an item.

Item Market 2.0 : 22/10/2024

• Instantly purchase items from a long list of sellers in individual or bulk quantities directly from the Item Market. No longer will you be redirected to bazaars.
• You can now utilize advanced filters and sorting options to find weapons within specific ranges of damage and accuracy.
• The market's listings and available quantities will update in real time as items are added or sold, even while you're viewing the page.
• A 'Popular' tab attempts to shortlist Torn's most commonly traded items, allowing you to stock up on supplies in a pinch.
• There is no longer a 250 limit to the number of listings you can have on the Item Market. You can now place an unlimited number of listings.
• When creating or changing an Item Market listing, you may now choose to list the item anonymously. This does, however, come with a 10% sale fee.
• The Car Dealership and Property Broker 5* specials have been replaced. Moving forward, both specials will instead reduce the anonymous listing fees from 10% to 0%.
