Beretta 92FS
Not to be confused with Beretta M9 or Dual 92G Berettas

Beretta 92FS is a Secondary Pistol weapon that can be obtained by opening a Small Arms Cache or through the "Open Arsenal" 5* special at a Private Security Firm. It can be sold to (but not purchased at) Big Al's Gun Shop.
The Beretta 92FS was one of the items available at the launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
The Beretta 92FS has a base fire rate between three to six rounds per turn, and can fire 20 rounds (over four to seven turns) without reloading. It has a stealth rating of 4.5.
Obtaining
The only remaining way a Beretta 92FS without a Weapon Bonus can enter the game is as a possible result from the "Open Arsenal" 5* special at a Private Security Firm, which costs 75 job points to use. [2] It cannot be obtained through city finds.
Beretta 92FSs can be bought from other players through the Item Market, Bazaars, or Trades, but as Secondary weapons do not stack they must be purchased one by one, making it time consuming to buy in bulk.
As of 27 September 2022, Beretta 92FSs can be found by opening a Small Arms Cache. [3] A Beretta 92FS obtained this way can have a Damage stat up to 63 and an Accuracy stat up to 66. Prior to their addition to caches, there was a period where the Open Arsenal special was the only way to obtain a Beretta 92FS.
Usage
Some players equip a Beretta 92FS or another pistol weapon with the Execute bonus in their secondary slot to quickly take down opponents with low health.
Buffs
Players can gain Weapon Experience on Beretta 92FSs once the "CBT3870 Bachelor of Military Arts and Science" Education course has been completed. Beretta 92FSs and all primary and secondary weapons gain a 20% damage boost from the "Firearms Expert" 10* special and an extra clip from the "Bandolier" 7* special at Gun Shops.
Beretta 92FSs, along with all primary and secondary weapons, receive a 20% and 5% bonus to Ammo conservation from the "MTH3330 Bachelor of Mathematics" and "MTH2310 Discrete Mathematics" courses respectively. The "CBT2840 Study of Pistols" course gives +1 accuracy to all pistols.
The Beretta 92FS is affected by all universal buffs such as the 1% damage boost from completion of the "BIO2350 Evolution" course or the +3 accuracy from the "Seasoned Poacher" 10* Zoo special.

Historical Notes
The Beretta 92FS was available as a purchase at Big Al's Gun Shop and could be found through city finds until March 2021. [4] While the reason for the change has never been confirmed, it has been speculated that this was due to the gun being redundant with the existence of the Beretta M9. [5]
All Beretta 92FSs used to have the same damage and accuracy stats. Unique stats for each Beretta 92FS were revealed in a December 2015 update. [6]
In the old Ammo system prior to the Attacking 2.0 update, ammo for the Beretta 92FS costed $40 per clip. The icon for the ammo ( ) was a small pistol cartridge. [7]
