Pickpocketing

Pickpocketing is the seventh Crime released for Crimes 2.0, although it is actually crime number five. It is a Theft crime that takes five Nerve to attempt.

Pickpocketing has no subcrimes but has 22 different potential types of targets.

The difficulty of each target factors in a player's Pickpocketing skill level, the type of target, their body type, and the target's current status (i.e. walking, distracted, etc.) Players with low Pickpocketing skill levels may have to be selective and choose easier targets to avoid critical fails.

The Crime Enhancer used for Pickpocketing is the item: Cut-Throat Razor

There are 22 unique outcomes for the Pickpocketing crime, one for each type of target.

During the 420 day event a seasonal outcome is added were you are able to pickpocket 5, 10 or 20 Cannabis.

Targets

There are 22 types of targets in Pickpocketing. No targets are level locked, and all are available at level one. When a target appears is random, but some targets appear more often than others. Targets will disappear if a Pickpocketing attempt has not been made by the time that the timer on their row runs out. The length of the timer depends on the type of target.

All targets can spawn with different body types, weights, heights, and statuses (i.e. walking, distracted, etc.) Smaller targets that have a status taking up their attention generally have higher success rates. Certain types of targets, such as drunk men/women and junkies also have higher success rates.

Businessman

The Businessman is a moderately difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be walking or on the phone. Their timer lasts for 20-30 seconds.

Successfully pickpocketing a Businessman can net anywhere between $1,380-9,600 or items. The unique outcome for a Businessman is two Speed and can be obtained from any Businessman.

Critical failures for Pickpocketing a Businessman can send a player to jail for between 40 minutes and six hours and 15 minutes or take a small percentage of a player's Life.

The Businesswoman is a moderately difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be walking or on the phone. Their timers last for 25-30 seconds.

Successfully pickpocketing a Businesswoman can net anywhere between $1,100-6,000 or items. The unique outcome for a Businesswoman is a Glasses and can be obtained from any Businesswoman.

Critical failures for Pickpocketing a Businesswoman can send a player to jail for between 54 minutes and five hours and eight minutes or take a small percentage of a player's Life.

The Classy Lady is a more difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be walking or on the phone. Their timers last for 20-30 seconds.

Successfully pickpocketing a Classy Lady can net anywhere between $1,020-79,400 or items. The unique outcome for a Classy Lady is a Pair of High Heels and can only be obtained from a Classy Lady who is on the phone.

Critical failures for Pickpocketing a Classy Lady can send a player to jail for between 50 minutes and 54 minutes.

Cyclist

The Cyclist is a more difficult Pickpocketing target. They can only be cycling. Their timers last for 10 seconds when cycling.

Successfully pickpocketing a Cyclist can net anywhere between $720-10,400 or items. The unique outcome for a Cyclist is a Mountain Bike.

Critical failures for Pickpocketing a Cyclist can send a player to jail for between one hour and 19 minutes and ??. It can also take a large percentage of a player's Life or send a player to the Hospital for between eight hours and 27 minutes and ??..

The Drunk Man is an easier difficulty Pickpocketing target. They can be stumbling or distracted. Their timers last for 35-50 seconds.

Successfully pickpocketing a Drunk Man can net anywhere between $216-3,769 or items. The unique outcome for a Drunk Man is six Bottles of Beer and can be obtained from any Drunk Man as long as a Cut-Throat Razor is in a player's inventory.

Gang Member

The Gang Member is a more difficult Pickpocketing target. They can only be loitering. Their timers last for ~one minute and 10 seconds.

Successfully pickpocketing a Gang Member can net anywhere between $1,660-7,000 or items. The unique outcome for a Gang Member is a Spray Can: Red, Spray Can: Purple, Spray Can: Blue, and Wire Cutters and can only be obtained from a Gang Member who is loitering as long as a Cut-Throat Razor is in a player's inventory.

The Homeless Person is an easier difficulty Pickpocketing target. They can be begging or loitering. Their timers last for ~ one minute and 30 seconds when loitering, and around three minutes and 15 seconds when begging.

Successfully pickpocketing a Homeless Person can net anywhere between $70-2,921 or items. The unique outcome for a Homeless Person is four Morphine and can only be obtained from any Homeless Person.

Critical failures for Pickpocketing a Homeless Person can send a player to jail for between 57 minutes and one hour and 11 minutes.

The Jogger is a moderately difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be jogging or walking. Their timers last for 10-15 seconds when jogging and 25-30 seconds when walking.

Successfully pickpocketing a Jogger can net anywhere between $560-4,550 or items. The unique outcome for a Jogger is a Can of Crocozade and can only be obtained from a Jogger who is walking as long as a Cut-Throat Razor is in a player's inventory.

The Sex Worker is a more difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be distracted, on the phone, or soliciting. Their timers last for ~40 seconds when on the phone, ~ one minute and 50 seconds when soliciting, and ~two minutes and 40 seconds when distracted.

Successfully pickpocketing a Sex Worker can net anywhere between $530-5,600 or items. The unique outcome for a Sex Worker is a Thong and can only be obtained from a Sex Worker that is soliciting.

The Student is a moderately difficult Pickpocketing target. They can be listening to music, on the phone, running, or walking. Their timers last for 5-10 seconds when running and 20-30 seconds for all other statuses.
