Diamond Ring

Diamond Ring is a Jewelry item that can be purchased from and sold to the Jewelry store, where it is the most expensive item available. It can also be acquired via shoplifting and is the most expensive item (by sell price) that can be obtained from shoplifting crimes.
The Diamond Ring was one of the items available at the official launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
The Diamond Ring is worn on the left hand and cannot be equipped with other rings, except for the Cocktail Ring, which is worn on the right hand. The Diamond Ring layers over all equipped Clothing and Armor except for the Bunny Suit, Hazmat Suit, and Prosthetic Arm, which it layers under. [2]

Obtaining
The Diamond Ring can be purchased from the Jewelry store. In Crimes 1.0 it can also be obtained through the "Ring" shoplifting crime, be found through city finds, be given as a mystery gift from the Wheel of Lame, and can be traded between players.
The Diamond Ring is more common as a Crimes 1.0 shoplifting result when a player's Crime Experience is high.
The Diamond Ring can be found as a result of the following crimes:
- "Search the Cemetery" (quantity one)
- "Jewelry Store" (quantity between one - two)
- "Businesswoman" (quantity one)
- "Rich Kid" (quantity between one - two, female only)
- "Cleaning Agency" (quantity two)
- "Cottage" (quantity two)
- "Lake House" (quantity one, requires a Jemmy)
- "Mobile Home" (quantity one)
- "Shipyard" (quantity two)
A Diamond Ring can be found with Latex Gloves one time per player as a unique result for the "Jewelry Store" Shoplifting subcrime when the shop's guard is on duty and a player has a shoplifting skill of at least 45.
Usage
The Diamond Ring can be used to propose to another player and begin the Marriage process.
Diamond Ring has usage as planted evidence in Clothing Store (All Mouth and Trousers) in the Arson crime.
