DVD Player
DVD Player is an Other item that can be acquired through shoplifting. It can be sold to (but not purchased at) the Super Store.
The DVD Player was one of the items available at the official launch of Torn on 15 November 2004, having been introduced during the Torn City Beta. [1]
Usage
Unlike similar items such as the CD Player, the DVD Player currently has no use outside of being sold. As it can be sold to the Recycling Center, no use is planned for the item in the foreseeable future.
Obtaining
The DVD Player is most commonly obtained through crimes. In Crimes 1.0, the DVD Player can be obtained through the "Electronics Stall" shoplifting crime, but only when a player's Crime Experience is very low. [2] It can also be found through city finds and can be traded between players.
The DVD Player can be found as a result of the following crimes:
- "Search the Junkyard" (quantity 4)
- "Super Store" (quantity between 1-2)
- Residential:
- "Bungalow" (quantity 1)
- "Mobile Home" (quantity 1)
- Commercial:
- "Advertising Agency" (quantity 1)
- "Liquor Store" (quantity 1)
- "Market" (quantity 1, requires Jemmy)
- "Self-Storage Facility" (quantity 4, requires Skeleton Key)

- Industrial:

A DVD Player can be found with an Erotic DVD one time per player as a unique result for the "Bits 'n' Bobs" Shoplifting subcrime when the shop's cameras and checkpoints are both disabled.
