Clothing

Clothing is a class of items that can be equipped to change a player's cosmetic appearance. Having clothing items equipped does not give any bonuses, with the exception of masks giving a boost to Stealth.

All clothing items (and other items that display on a character when equipped) are assigned at least one body part to equip to and at least one layer on that body part. Items with a higher layer will layer over items with a lower layer- for example, a Mackintosh, which has a torso layer of 5, will fully cover a Jacket, which is torso layer 4.

The five layers are as follows:

Layer 1- Items that are generally skin-tight i.e. undergarments
Layer 2- Items that are generally worn under other items i.e undershirts and socks
Layer 3- Mostly Armor
Layer 4- Items that are generally worn over other items i.e. large shirts, shoes, and pants
Layer 5- Outerwear i.e. large jackets and boots

Some items, such as the Sandworm Mask '21, layer over everything else, including other layer 5 clothing.

Head Clothing

Head clothing is generally equipped atop the head. Many items in this category will unequip the Welding Helmet and Motorcycle Helmet.

Eye Clothing

Eye clothing layers over most masks. Outside of the Cover Ups, all eye clothing is on the same layer, so only one can be equipped at a time.

Mouth Clothing

The Ball Gag and Pipe are the only two items that only have a mouth layer. The Ball Gag will unequip most masks while the Pipe will layer over most masks.
