Weapon Mod

A Weapon Mod is an attachment that can be used on a primary or secondary weapon in order to boost its stats or improve another facet of its utility.


Introduction

First, what are attachments? They are a special kind of customization you can add to your weapon; each attachment will give your weapon a boost of some kind.

There are 12 categories of mods, of which most have several stages (currently 30 in total). Higher stage mods only become available once all prior stages are owned.

Mods are held in your mod inventory and can be attached to your equipped weapons. This inventory will become available to you when you own your very first mod. You can also manage your mods via the items page by clicking the "+" icon on your equipped weapons.

When purchasing a mod with mission credits, make sure it is compatible with the type of weapon you wish to use it with. There are restrictions and exclusions.

Mod bonuses may be changed in the future if balancing is required.

Obtaining Mods

They are currently only available in the mission shop purchasable with mission credits, so if you do not do missions you cannot obtain these mods. Note that a higher Stage mod won't appear in the shop until you have bought all the previous stages.

Sights

This is a mod which improves accuracy on your weapon, these are available on Machine Guns, Pistols, Rifles and SMGs.

Suppressors

This is a mod which improves your chance at stealthing, but lowers your damage output, these are available on Pistols, Rifles and SMGs.

Triggers

This is a mod which greatly improves your accuracy on the first shot (higher chance of hitting), these are available on Machine Guns, Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns and SMGs..

Mounts

This is a mod which increase your accuracy at the cost of dexterity (evading attacks from your opponent), these are available on Machine Guns, Rifles and Heavy Artillery.

Recoil Pads

This is a mod which Reduces the amount of bullets fired per turn, these are available on Machine Guns, Rifles and Shotguns.

Ammo control refers to the average number of rounds spent per turn. With bonuses to "control" or "management", a player will use less ammo per turn and therefore have to reload less often, providing an advantage in longer fights.

Brakes

This is a mod which increases the accuracy at the cost of stealth, these are available on Machine Guns, Pistols, Rifles and SMGs.

Lights

This is a mod which decreases the opponents Accuracy and their ability to Stealth, these are available on Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns and SMGs.

Exceptions

It should be noted that there are multiple mods that are not available for use with Dual Weapons, despite these mods being available for the relevant weapon category. For example, the Extended Mags cannot be equipped on Dual 92G Berettas.

Additionally, any mod equipped on a dual weapon will receive half the stated bonus. For example a +2% crit chance laser would provide only +1% crit chance when equipped on Dual 92G Berettas.

Revolvers, as well as most shotguns, are unable to equip extended magazines. The only shotguns that are able to equip the extended magazine mod are the Benelli M1 Tactical, Benelli M4 Super, Ithaca 37 and the Mag 7.

Historical Notes

  • A second Accuracy rebuild was implemented on 27/08/19.
  • Before the second Accuracy rebuild, weapon mods applied % bonuses to a weapons base accuracy, which was a hidden value between 1-500. The resultant Accuracy increases displayed on the weapon.
