Black Easter Egg
Black Easter Egg is a retired Candy item that was released in April 2010 and was one of the original six colored Easter Eggs added to the game. [1]
The 2022 Easter Egg Hunt was the last year the Black Easter Egg was obtainable. All colored Easter Eggs were converted into the Chocolate Egg on 23 March 2023. [2]
The Black Easter Egg was only obtainable during the annual Easter Egg Hunt competition. It could not be sold to a store.

Obtaining
The Black Easter Egg can no longer be obtained. All Black Easter Eggs that existed were converted into Chocolate Eggs.
Black Easter Eggs used to randomly spawn on-screen during the Easter Egg Hunt. The egg was obtained when clicked, along with a boost to crime experience. [3]
The Black Easter Egg was not obtainable through city finds, but was able to be traded between players.
Usage
Eating a Black Easter Egg increased a player's happiness by 50 and increased Booster Cooldown by 30 minutes.
Prior to the end of the 2022 Easter Egg Hunt, a full set of colored Easter Eggs could be traded in for a Gold Easter Egg, 20 Points, and the Good Friday honor while the event was running.

Historical Notes
In the first year of the event, Easter Eggs were added directly to a player's inventory through random events when a player visited a section of Torn corresponding to that egg. The Black Easter Egg had a chance to be found when a player clicked Crimes. This theme around crime was kept as finding Black Easter Eggs gave crime experience from 2011 on. [4]
70,344 Black Easter Eggs were in circulation the day colored eggs were converted to Chocolate Eggs.
