Yellow Easter Egg

Yellow Easter Egg #475
Isn't Torn City great? Life is good here. All the people are so friendly and kind. Look at that cute squirrel! I wonder if he has a family. Families are great. I love to think about my family and smile. Do you like smiling? Smile with me. Let's smile together. Oh wow, there's that squirrel again. Is he smiling? I had no idea squirrels could smile. A smile is the best thing to wear, and it's free! What are you wearing? A frown? Let's turn that frown... You guessed it! Upside down. Hahaha. We're having so much fun together.
Increases happiness by 10,000 and booster cooldown by 6 hours.

Yellow Easter Egg is a Booster item that was released in April 2010 and was one of the original six colored Easter Eggs added to the game. [1] The Yellow Easter Egg is found during the annual Easter Egg Hunt and gives 10,000 happiness when eaten. It cannot be sold to a store.

All Yellow Easter Eggs that existed on 23 March 2023 were converted into the Chocolate Egg, a one-time event that was meant to prevent players from having large stocks of eggs from previous years after their effect was changed. [2]

The Yellow Easter Egg can only be obtained during April. It can be obtained as Loot by defeating the Easter Bunny [17] [3] or from the Easter Egg Hunt, during which eggs spawn on-screen. The Yellow Easter Egg will be added to a player's inventory when clicking its corresponding icon.

The Yellow Easter Egg cannot be obtained through city finds and cannot be traded between players. The egg is in a three-way tie with the Green Easter Egg and Red Easter Egg for being the most common egg by spawn rate. [4]

Eating a Yellow Easter Egg increases a player's happiness by 10,000 and increases Booster Cooldown by six hours.

Historical Notes

In the first year of the event, Easter Eggs were added directly to a player's inventory through random events when a player visited a section of Torn corresponding to that egg. The Yellow Easter Egg had a chance to be found when a player clicked on the Newspaper. [5]

Eggs began to randomly spawn on-screen in 2011, during the second year of the Easter Egg Hunt. The Yellow Easter Egg originally gave $100,000 when clicked, but swapped effects with the Blue Easter Egg on 6 April 2021, giving 250 happiness until the 2023 update. The only effect upon consumption was increasing a player's happiness by 50 and booster cooldown by 30 minutes. [6] All colored easter eggs with this effect were converted into Chocolate Eggs on 23 March 2023. 80,180 Yellow Easter Eggs were changed to Chocolate Eggs in total. The Yellow Easter Egg was also changed from a Candy item to a Booster item the same day.
