Volt GT

Volt GT #85

Volt's GT model handles like a racing car should, but is slightly let down by its acceleration, despite its low weight. Nevertheless, this model is often unbeatable down at the Docks, and comes recommended as a versatile option for drivers who are new to Class A racing.

Volt GT is a Car item that can be acquired through Grand Theft Auto in Crimes 1.0

This item can be sold for $150,000 at the Docks.

Obtaining

The Volt GT is usually obtained through the "Hijack a Car" and "Steal Car from Showroom" Grand Theft Auto in crimes 1.0. It is obtained about 5% of the time (or roughly one time for every 20 successes) from "Hijack a Car," and about 31% of the time (or roughly one time for every ~three successes) from "Steal Car from Showroom." [1]

It can also be received as a possible result from paying 75 job points to use the Mechanic Shop 5* special, "Junkyard Dog." [2]

The Volt GT cannot be found through city finds but can be traded between players.

Historical Notes

The Volt GT was previously known as the "Ford GT40," which is a real-life vehicle. It was updated to its current fictionalized brand on 30 July 2024 [3] due to trademark concerns. [4]

Prior to all Class A cars being removed from the docks, The Volt GT could be purchased from the Docks for $230,000. The car was removed from the Docks on 11 June 2024, [5] along with its sell price of $120,000 being increased by 25%. [6]
