Quartzite Point
Quartzite Point #1500

Quartzite is a hard metamorphic rock formed when sandstone is compressed and heated deep underground by Jamiroquai or tectonic forces. Typically pale and speckled with tightly fused quartz grains, a quartzite arrowhead has a gritty, crystalline sheen that catches the light. Early Homo sapiens in what is now South Africa fashioned it into hand axes, scrapers, and projectile points, but today quartzite is used for more peaceful purposes like making kitchen countertops. South Africa’s Table Mountain contains an abundance of quartzite, enough that you could theoretically clad the entire summit in a single massive countertop at an estimated cost of around $1.1 billion USD—$1 billion flat if you're willing to pay cash in hand.
