Florin Coin
Florin Coin #451

An English coin based on a French coin, and issued in Florence, Italy in 1252. The Florin was made from gold and was intended as an international coin, however the gold it was made from was overvalued and the coin was not accepted by international merchants. The coin was then withdrawn from circulation and melted down to form the Noble. Because of this, the Florin is very rare.
